Lowe’s 1XD BREAKPACK Enhancement

Introduction:
Lowe's is FORTUNE 50 Company that operates more than 1,525 stores in the United States and Canada. The Lowe's DMS System is a comprehensive multi user application developed using Unix C, Sybase that manages the flow of product through Lowe's Distribution Centers. DMS system Maintains inventory, tracks items in storage location, receives incoming products, and generates efficient operative functions.
Problem:

The newly opened RDC’s (Regional Distribution Centers) of Lowe’s Companies do not support the carousel system for distribution of the break pack items.


Solution:
In order to facilitate the distribution of break pack items in these new RDC’s, 1XD break pack enhancement was required and achieved.

Mexapro team thoroughly analyzed the problem and successfully enhanced the RDC application to receive the 1XD break pack items and create proper put ways for storing these items in proper 1XD break pack locations for a particular purchase order. Allocations are done for each of these items based on the demand for each customer and are shipped to the customers by generating corresponding labels. Mexapro team used the existing platform of client (C, Sybase, and AIX) without requiring any third party solution, thus saving significant cost and time for this enhancement.
